winemaker's notes
The Romney Park vineyard and winery is located on a ridge of ironstone between Balhannah and Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. There are seven acres of hand-tended vines only.
Romney Park is one of the smallest wineries in Australia. It is genuinely boutique, crushing only 4 – 6 tonnes of fruit per vintage, making approximately 3500 – 4000 bottles.
The wines are made by myself and my wife Rachel in our small winery located on the property. The focus for Romney Park is to grow the best quality fruit then preserve the clean pristine flavours throughout the winemaking process.
The finished wine is bottled and packed at Romney Park so the quality is ensured right up to the wine being sold and leaving the property.
Tasting is available seven days a week by appointment.
